I’d like to “fly like perseus into a different space”. This quote by Italo Calvino is about perspective, about finding ways to bring lightness to heaviness, about searching for a place that feels like refreshment when you are parched and exhausted. To bring whimsy into an otherwise serious space is to remove a crushing weight that limits our movement through life. Even when the world would rather we be “condemned to heaviness” we have the power to alter that reality for our benefit and the benefit of our community.
